About Us
Our Mission & Our Goals |
||||||||||||||
| The PAWS Society is a tax exempt, 501(c)(3), non profit organization founded in 1993 for the purpose of providing leadership in solving animal welfare problems in Northeast Oregon's Union County. Since then, our roll has expanded to providing humane-related assistance and problem-solving direction throughout the region in the form of direct assistance to regional humane shelters, information dispensing, and planning expertise.
The primary mission of PAWS is dedication to the welfare of animals, their humane treatment, and for responsible pet ownership. Our major goals are: (1) To seek long-term financial support through donations, gifts, and bequethments to assist with abandonded, neglected, abused, and unwanted pets, (2) Education of young and old alike concerning responsible pet ownership, (3) Humane treatment of all animals, and (4) To address ongoing problems of pet overpopulation. Of Special Note! Because our board members donate their time as well as all overhead costs, you can be assured that 100% of any financial assistance will be used directly for the animals and related welfare programs here in Northeast Oregon. |
